APTR has reserved the entire American Prohibition Museum in the popular City Market area of Savannah for Teaching Prevention attendees from 6:00 - 7:30 pm on Tuesday following the conference closing. Attendees will be able to take a self-guided tour of the museum while sipping on three prohibition-era cocktail samples. The museum visit will terminate in the museum's Speakeasy, where attendees can gather and purchase additional beverages before heading out to dinner. RSVP is required.

When America Went to War with Alcohol

Discover how the battle over booze changed the country forever through interactive displays and real artifacts. From antique cars and moonshine stills to unique flasks and real flapper dresses, the exhibits bring the excitement of the era to life. Follow the timeline from the early days of Temperance to the wild Prohibition years, where Americans used their ingenuity to find every legal loophole, gender norms were challenged and changed, and society was transformed for good.
MUST DO in Savannah!
Highly informative with keen political and social insights!
