Serving on the Planning Committee is an opportunity to connect and collaborate with colleagues from institutions across the country while contributing to a national professional and educational initiative.

Planning Committee members will work with APTR leadership and staff to help guide the meeting’s educational program, identify emerging topics and priorities, shape program content, and help ensure the meeting reflects the interests and needs of the APTR community.

Committee Commitment

Planning Committee members must be current APTR members and are expected to:

• Attend at least 75% of scheduled committee meetings, held approximately every other week via Zoom

• Actively participate in the planning process and serve as abstract reviewers

• Register for and attend Teaching Prevention 2027 in Philadelphia, April 11–14, 2027.

We welcome members from a range of disciplines, institutions, career stages, and perspectives. Whether you have participated in Teaching Prevention for years or are looking for a new way to become involved with APTR, we encourage you to consider joining us.

You can still contribute to the development of the TP27 educational program. Lend your expertise to the abstract review process by evaluating submitted proposals and helping us identify high-quality, relevant sessions for Teaching Prevention 2027.
